Word to JPG Converter - DOCX to JPG up to 300 DPI
Turn every page of a Word document into a JPG or PNG picture. The file is read and drawn on your own device, so nothing is uploaded.
This Word to JPG converter turns every page of a Word document into a separate JPG picture, free, right in your browser. Pick a DOCX or DOC file, choose 150, 200 or 300 DPI, and download each page as an image or all pages in one ZIP. Your document is read on your own device and is never uploaded.

How to Convert Word to JPG
- Select Word File: Press Select Word File, or drag the document onto the box. DOCX, DOC, DOCM, DOTX and DOT files all work.
- Convert to: Leave it on JPG image, or pick PNG image or PDF document.
- Quality: Pick Normal, 150 DPI for phones and email, High, 200 DPI for most uses, or Print, 300 DPI for printing.
- Convert: Press Convert to JPG. Each page appears as its own picture with its size in KB.
- Download: Press Download Image under any page, or Download All as ZIP when the file has more than 4 pages. On a phone, Share all pages sends them straight to WhatsApp or Gmail.
Need a different size or format afterwards? Press Change format or quality. The document is already read, so the new images are ready in a few seconds.
What Size Are the JPG Pages?
DPI means dots per inch. It sets how many pixels each inch of the page gets, so a higher DPI gives a sharper and bigger picture. These are the exact sizes the converter makes:
- A4 page: 1240 x 1754 pixels at 150 DPI, 1654 x 2339 at 200 DPI, and 2480 x 3508 at 300 DPI.
- US Letter page: 1275 x 1650 pixels at 150 DPI, 1700 x 2200 at 200 DPI, and 2550 x 3300 at 300 DPI.
A typed page of text at 200 DPI is usually 200 to 400 KB as a JPG. Pages with photos come out larger. The JPG quality is fixed at 92 out of 100, so small text stays crisp. If a form asks for a page under 100 KB, convert at 150 DPI and then run the page through compress image to 100 KB.
DOCX and DOC Files, Pages, Tables and Pictures
The converter lays out each page the way Word does. Headers and footers, page numbers, tables, pictures, text boxes, charts, footnotes, columns and page colours all come through on the right page. It works with new DOCX files and with old DOC files from Word 97 to 2003. Files up to 500 pages are fine, and long files just take a little longer.
A few things work differently. Tracked changes show as the final text and comments are left out, the same as printing with no markup. Common Word fonts are swapped for free fonts with the same letter widths, such as Carlito for Calibri. Lines still break in the same places as in Word. When the document carries its own fonts, those are used instead.
Word to JPG or PNG: Which Should You Pick?
JPG is the right choice for most people. It makes smaller files, every site and app accepts it, and it is what forms and portals usually ask for. Pick PNG when the page has thin coloured lines, small coloured text or a logo, because PNG keeps those edges exactly as they are. If you want one file instead of many pictures, pick PDF document and you get the whole document as a single PDF.
Already have pictures of a document and need the text back in Word? Use image to Word to read the text out of a photo or a scan.
Hindi and Other Languages in Word Files
Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil and other Indian scripts typed in Unicode, such as Mangal or Nirmala UI, convert correctly. Old Kruti Dev and Chanakya files are different: they store Hindi as English letters that only look right with that exact font installed. That font is not built in, so change such a file to Unicode Hindi first, or the page will show English letters. Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai text work too.
Convert Word to JPG on a Phone
The converter runs in the phone browser, so there is no app to install. Open a Word file from your downloads, WhatsApp or Google Drive, and the pages turn into pictures on the phone itself. On Android and iPhone, Share all pages puts every page into one message. It is the quickest way to send a document to someone who cannot open Word files. Use 150 or 200 DPI on a phone. A long document at 300 DPI takes more memory and more time.
Your Word File Never Leaves Your Device
The document is opened, laid out and turned into pictures inside your browser, and we never receive a copy of it. When the page first runs, it downloads the converter and its fonts from our server. After that, nothing about your document is sent anywhere. This matters for CVs, offer letters, bank papers and anything with personal details. Close the tab and every page image is gone.
FAQ
Is this Word to JPG converter free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark, and you can convert as many files as you like.
Can I convert a Word document into one single image?
Each page becomes its own JPG, the way Word shows pages. For one file that holds every page, pick PDF document under Convert to.
Why does the image look slightly different from Word?
A font your computer has may not be inside the file. The converter then uses a free font with the same letter widths, so the layout stays the same but the letters look a little different.
Does it work with Google Docs files?
Yes. In Google Docs, press File, then Download, then Microsoft Word (.docx), and pick that file here.
Can I change the JPG pages to PNG or WebP later?
Yes. The image converter changes JPG pages to PNG, WebP and other formats.
